Mr. Scott Radden
Gift Planning CounselorScott is a Senior Gift Planning Counselor trained by the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod Foundation and serves the Central and Southern Illinois Districts. Scott assists families and individuals with transferring the blessings God has entrusted them to their families and favorite ministries. He strives to assist every Christian with creating a lifetime plan for giving. In addition, Scott works closely with congregations within the Districts to establish and maintain endowments and investment accounts in which the congregation can receive the financial blessings that members share. Prior to serving as a Gift Planning Counselor, Scott served as a Trust Administrator for the LCMS Foundation from 1998 to 2015. Prior to his calling to the LCMS Foundation, Scott enjoyed a career in banking.
Raised in Belleville, IL, Scott attended Lutheran grade school at Zion Lutheran, Belleville. He is a 1992 graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Scott furthered his formal education in 2014, graduating from Concordia University Wisconsin with a MBA in Finance. In addition, Scott completed a three-year course study through Cannon Financial Institute at the University of Notre Dame where he earned the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) certification in September 2005.
Scott is a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He previously served as Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Elders and was a member of Zion’s endowment fund committee. He has served on various other committees for the church and has helped teach adult education classes in the past. Scott resides in Swansea, IL, where he and his wife, Ann, raised their two children, Alexis and Robert. Scott has been serving his community as an Illinois state-certified firefighter and former Captain with the Northwest St. Clair County Fire Protection District. He also enjoys gardening, traveling, cycling, and waterfowl hunting.
