Southern Illinois District Advocates for Life Team (A4L Team)
“Advocating for Life, Serving our Neighbor”
Psalm 82:4 “Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked”.
A4L Team Formation
As Lutheran Christians, we believe that all human life is a gift of God. We are called to speak God’s truth in love to the world, as well as advocate for life and serve our neighbor. Sadly, in our world today there are increasing assaults against our Lord’s precious gift of life. On Oct. 30, 2019, Southern Illinois District President Timothy Scharr refocused the Southern Illinois District’s commitment to life issues with the creation of the Advocates for Life Team, under the leadership of a District Life Coordinator
Vision
Affirming God’s Will to create and sustain earthly life with the anticipation of sharing the Gospel of eternal life in Christ Jesus!
Mission
With the help of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, our mission is to connect district churches, pastors, church workers, families, and schools with life affirming information, education, events and resources from conception to eternal life with Jesus.
