Trust the Lord for Guidance
We look to the new year with all sorts of plans and intentions. Psalm 37: 23 & 24 says, “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in His way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.” Relying on God’s help, the psalmist wants us to trust the Lord for guidance.
God supplies the direction in His Word. He leads us to glorify Him by serving others. We live the love of Jesus Christ on the job, in our homes and neighborhoods, in our community, and in our church. We will stumble because of our sin and weakness, but we will not fail, because the Lord upholds us with His hand.
Several schools will celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week January 26 – February 1, 2025 with the theme “Endure” based on Hebrews 12: 1-3. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.”
National Lutheran Schools Week provides more than 1,800 preschools, elementary schools, and high schools with the public opportunity to proclaim and celebrate God’s work among us in schools of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
We thank God for the opportunity to provide excellent academic preparation for the children we serve. We are most grateful for the opportunity to share Jesus’ amazing love with children and their families.
National Lutheran Schools Week gives us an opportunity to proclaim these great blessings within the communities we serve.
Our schools are amazing incubators for faithful witness of God’s love for us through Christ by teachers and students alike.
