Zion Lutheran, Mascoutah, Hosts Mission Festival for Dominican Republic

On Sunday, April 30, Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah hosted a Mission Festival to support the Seminario Concordia El Reformador (Concordia the Reformer Seminary) in the Dominican Republic. The seminary in the Dominican Republic became the SID Mission partnership at the SID’s most recent District Convention in February, 2023.
Mrs. Tori Egger, the wife of Rev. Dr. Tom Egger, president of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and Sem. Daniel Bueckman were able to come to Zion to talk about a mission trip they participated in this past January/February as they supported the Lord’s work in the Dominican Republic. Sem. Bueckman led Bible Class at Zion, highlighting the Lord’s work at the Dominican Republic seminary and talking about the mission team’s activities, and Mrs. Egger spoke to the congregation at a luncheon after church, which featured a  Central-American themed meal.
The Mission Festival was able to raise about $3000 to support the work of the Seminary in the Dominican Republic!
