This year, join with other older adults from across our district for a one-day trip filled with learning and fellowship time. On September 24, participants will meet by the water tower at St. Clair Square in Fairview Heights, park, and board a bus to the west. The day will start with brunch (at Roosters), and then participants will continue to the tour of the Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum in St. Louis. There is so much to learn from the Holocaust. Occurring between 1933 and 1945, it was a systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of approximately 6 million European Jews by the Nazi regime and its allies. It was fueled by the Nazi antisemitic ideology. Antisemitism is still an issue in today’s society.
Cost is $50, which includes the bus trip and the fee for the museum. (Participants pay for their own brunch meal.)
The bus boards at St. Clair Square in Fairview Heights at 8:30am and arrives back around 4pm.
Registration is required for this event. New this year, participants can register and pay online. Or, if preferred, paper registration and check are also accepted. Click the options below.
